On May 30, 2026, the A13 Brenner Motorway near Matrei am Brenner will be closed as part of traffic restrictions affecting the entire Brenner corridor in Tyrol (Austria) due to a demonstration taking place from 11:00 to 19:00 (from 09:00 for trucks). In addition to the motorway, the B182 Brenner road and the L38 Ellbögen road will also be affected, making alternative detours impossible.
Significant traffic disruption and long queues are expected throughout the Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino Euroregion and across the wider Brenner corridor area.
Travellers are advised to avoid car travel along this route unless absolutely necessary and to use public transport whenever possible.
